Laura C. Joyce received her Juris Doctor degree from Boston College Law School. She received her Master’s in Social Work, specializing in clinical social work with children and families as well as her Bachelor’s degree in sociology, also from Boston College. Prior to joining Joyce & Associates, Laura worked as a therapist at the Boston Children’s Hospital, the Brandon Residential Treatment Center, and she continues to work part time at Bright Futures Adoptions. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. At Boston College Law School, she was the president of the Children’s Rights Law Group and represented children and their families in juvenile court and in family court matters. Laura has a particular interest in the overlap between family law and immigration law and represents many of our clients in the Family and Probate Court. Laura is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts


Alina Voronov is an attorney in the firm’s immigration, appellate, and litigation practices. Ms. Voronov works on mandamus complaints and petitions for review before federal courts, as well as appeals and related motions before USCIS, immigration courts, and the Board of Immigration Appeals. She also works on complex immigration cases, including waivers, family-based petitions and adjustment of status, naturalization, asylum, and deportation defense, among others. She earned a JD from Boston College Law School and an AB from Harvard College. She joined the firm in 2019.
Associate Attorney Katherine Bekasova is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the U.S. immigration system with clarity and confidence. She earned her law degree at New England Law in Boston with a Concentration in Immigration Law. As a second-generation immigrant with a strong background in nonprofit immigration, Attorney Bekasova brings both personal understanding and professional commitment to her work. She has extensive experience assisting clients in affirmative and defensive immigration matters. At Joyce & Associates, Katherine’s expertise spans several areas of the firm, including representation in removal-defense matters and in family and humanitarian-based applications before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Fluent in English, Russian, and Spanish, she is comfortable communicating directly with a diversity of clients.

Pei Ying is an attorney admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New York, and Malaysia. She has extensive experience across a wide range of immigration matters, including asylum, family and employment-based immigration, humanitarian relief, consular processing, naturalization, and deportation defense. In addition to her immigration practice, she maintains an active family law practice in state court, with a particular focus on divorce and related family matters. Fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Bahasa Malaysia, and working knowledge of Spanish and Korean, Pei Ying provides culturally informed and linguistically responsive representation to her clients. She previously advocated for refugees and asylum seekers from Myanmar with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and has volunteered with the Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA).
